As the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the engineering team, overseeing manufacturing processes on the shop floor, and ensuring the implementation of Lean principles for optimal efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in shop floor management within a manufacturing environment, strong leadership skills, and the ability to wear multiple hats. The Qualifications and Experience You Bring:   
  • 7 or more years of shop floor experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong background in industrial engineering and manufacturing leadership, with a proven track record of driving change and supporting the shop floor
  • Proven experience implementing Lean principles and driving continuous improvement
  • Experience in High-Mix Low-Volume Manufacturing, coupled with a strategic and tactical approach
  • Lead engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery
  • Previous experience in the furniture or wood casegoods manufacturing space is preferred
  • Positive mindset with the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment

  • Responsible for managing projects, timelines, and deliverables; ensuring that the team meets its goals and objectives
  • Oversee day-to-day operations on the shop floor to ensure efficiency, quality and positive communication amongst the team
  • Monitor key performance indicators to drive improvements in productivity and cost-effectiveness
  • Implement and improve quality control processes in collaboration with cross-functional teams
