Job Summary: The Quality Manager (QM) establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians and associates. The QM identifies and remedies issues through continuous patient/customer satisfaction and performance improvement data through associate and physician involvement. The QM directs and coordinates all department activities to assure continuous monitoring of hospital-wide Performance Improvement. The QM manages Quality, Infection Control, Employee Health, Peer Review, to include OPPE and FPPE. The hospital credentialing coordinator also reports to the QM. The QM works with The Manager of Clinical Operations to ensure all regulatory processes are in place and monitored. The QM ensures the highest quality and safest delivery of patient care, maintains compliance with professional nursing, Joint Commission, and all Federal and State standards of care. The QM is also the designated Regulatory Officer for the facility.



Supervises: Medical Staff Services.



Contacts/Interacts with: Physicians, all hospital staff, patients and families.


Small Hospital experience
Required Skills:

Current license as a Registered Nurse in Arizona.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

BSN required.

CPHQ and CIC preferred

1 - 3 years' experience in Quality Management.

Relevant clinical experience of at least 5 years and previous management experience preferred.

Experience with Infection Prevention and Occupational Health REQUIRED

Knowledge of hospital organizations, committees, department functions, and Performance Improvement activities.

Demonstrate competent administrative, communication and leadership skills.

Working knowledge of Joint Commission, Medicare, and State standards.

Basic computer knowledge. PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

Possess the ability to make independent decisions, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
