Under the direction of the Director of Marketing, the Sr. Marketing Manager will be responsible for the implementation of various marketing strategies and tactics for both lease up and stabilized communities throughout the portfolio.  Whether developed through an outside agency, vendor, or in-house, the Sr. Marketing Manager will assist with the creation and editing of all digital and print marketing deliverables with a high attention to detail. This position will support the Director of Marketing, Regional Managers, and on-site teams to drive performance in all areas of marketing while adhering to budgeted guidelines and brand standards. The Sr. Marketing Manager will monitor the effectiveness of advertising sources and marketing initiatives in accordance with the marketing plan. The ideal candidate has an understanding and appreciation of the creative, innovative, design-driven side of marketing but also the analytical skills necessary to track results.

Primary Functions/Responsibilities

  • Responsible for marketing and advertising to increase traffic and occupancy of JAG’s stabilized portfolio.
  • Work with Regional Property Managers, Community Managers, Asset Management, and Owners to implement marketing campaigns and recommend new tactics and strategies to meet goals.
  • Oversee digital marketing vendors for SEM, SEO, retargeting ads, and social ads to set up and monitor campaigns for both lease-up and stabilized portfolio.
  • Track, monitor and run marketing reports to determine campaign effectiveness.
  • Champion the brand and ensure consistent adherence to each community’s unique brand style and voice. Ensure all marketing materials utilize proper logo, color palette, brand voice, and meet brand standards.
  • Schedule and coordinate shoots for photography, 360 tours, and videos in addition to facilitating editing with the vendor.
  • Update content on the backend website CMS content tool and ILS feed.
  • Order and proofread marketing collateral to include, but is not limited to, brochures, floor plans, site plans, rack cards, business cards, promotional items, flyers, and signage.
  • Coordinate with social media vendors to proofread and approve monthly content calendars.
  • Manage vendor relationships to optimize use of their products and services. Stay abreast of new technology trends.
  • Create and update business development presentations in PowerPoint.
  • Ensure that JAG’s corporate standards and professionalism are consistent in all marketing sources at each community.
  • Perform any and all other projects and tasks as directed.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4-6 years of multifamily industry experience in the marketing discipline required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to take initiative.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and stellar grammar skills to proofread websites, ads, and marketing materials.

Other Considerations:

  • Experience with RealPage property management software and Knock or other lead management software preferred.
  • Experience overseeing SEM, SEO, Social Media, and ILS vendors.
  • Experience in WordPress or other website content management systems.
  • Competency in Instagram, Facebook, Meta for Business, and other social media channels.
  • Experience with Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
  • Experience with Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, and Google Business Profile.
  • Experience with MailChimp, Constant Contact or similar eBlast platform.
  • Ability to work together with the marketing team (Director of Marketing and Marketing Coordinator) in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to interact with both internal and external stakeholders with clear communication and diplomacy.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities and high expectations for delivery.
