The Office is a Home Office separate from the main home in Huntington NY off 25A .

I am looking to hire an expert detail orientated office manager/bookkeeper for my tax preparation business in Huntington NY (approx 2.5 miles from Main Street). We are a full service shop. We offer Professional Tax preparation for both Personal & Business Entity returns. We process Payroll, Prepare P&L's, Consulting, Tax planning, etc.

Preferably you must know every aspect of executing payroll for my clients and their employees. more knowledge than just punching in #'s to a program please.

You must be able to post Income/expenses and prepare a P&L, This is a must have. Preferably be familiar with Quicken.

Preferably be familiar with Microsoft Access, If Unfamiliar, not a deal breaker although you must be willing to learn the program.

You must be willing to take direction, complete administrative tasks given on a daily basis, research items if necessary, have critical thinking skills to solve potential issues and meet deadlines. Prepare letters and respond to both the IRS, NYS and multiple other states when/If letters come our way from clients.

Most importantly you must be a people person when answering phones and talking to clients. The clients are great and have been with the practice for a very long time!

Current schedule for position is 2 to 3 days a week to start during tax season. Monday, Tuesday. & Wednesday or Thursday from 8:45am to 3:45pm or later depending on workload. I am flexible with my schedule and if you need something unique or different days let me know. During tax season (Feb 1st to April 15th or longer) hours can increase if willing/needed to work longer days. After tax season ends and in between extension time hours and or days will decrease accordingly. ( will explain better if we talk)

We are off Fridays during the off season.

Will consider an @ home remote bookkeeper although must be in long Island since we will have to meet here and there to exchange documents. Send me a message if this is what you are interested in.
