Position: Clinical Oversight Director

Reports To: Quality Assurance Director

FLSA Status: Exempt

Supervises: Care Coordinator, Director of Residential Services, Program administrator.

 

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Director of Quality Assurance, the Clinical Oversight Director (COD) is responsible for managing all clinical functions, assuring that personnel, programs, services, processes, and procedures conform to both internal guidelines and regulatory standards. The COD establishes, implements, and evaluates goals and objectives for Hope Community Support Services, that meet and promote the standards of quality and contribute to the total organization and philosophy.

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

· MA or MS in a Human Services discipline

· Independently licensed as a LCSW, LMSW-cc

· Familiarity with Maine care guidelines

· Experience working with patients with Intellectual Developmental Disorders

· 2+ years of progressive mental health management and broad clinical experience is required.

· Ability to work both independently and to collaborate with teams of individuals in diverse settings.

· Experience with MS Word, Excel, Project Management and Analytics software

· Sensitivity to cultural variables and respect for diversity and inclusion

Clinical Oversight Director Job Responsibilities

· Oversee and supervise all program staff in conjunction with the care coordinator and Program Administrator.

· Responsible for the oversight and monitoring of clinical services provided within the program.

· Responsible for maintaining current assistive living Licensing criteria and adherence to agency’s internal best practices, policies and procedures, and quality standards.

· Responsible for oversight and management of program referrals, waitlists, and intakes.

· Acts as liaison between Hope CSS and all outside agencies and collateral contacts.

· Facilitates clinical team meetings.

· Responsible for the oversight and implementation of the weekly Activity/Group schedule; delegation of staff to facilitate and carry through the approved curriculum.

· Engages all residents by understanding and addressing their needs whether within or outside the scope of work.

· Attend all required agency-wide meetings and training and completes assigned trainings by their due dates.

· Participates as part of the Agency Leadership Team and partakes in strategic planning.

· Assists with client chart reviews for internal quality assurance.

· Participates in client’s PCP, 90 days review and others

· Ensure clients ‘authorizations and SIP are submitted in a timely fashion.

· Oversee and write Behavior Management Plans.

· Ensure that services locations are enrolled in MIMHS.

· Maintain confidentiality of resident, employee, and agency information in accordance with federal and state laws and funder requirements.

· Responsible for the program and residents’ safety, ability to respond to emergencies.

· Other duties as assigned.

Administrative

· Oversee Complete quality assurance reports.

· Oversee record of clients ’goals progress and status.

· Oversee record of client’s activity.

· Oversee record of client’s medication administration.

· Oversee record of client’s Dr appointment.

· Oversee record of client's reportable event.

· Oversee and write Behavior Management Plan.

· Monitor DSP Individual Service Plan documentation to ensure timeliness of entry, accuracy and support received from staff.

· Evaluate weekly written client’s reports from care coordinator outlining clients care plan status, progress, and concerns.

· Oversee clients’ intake process.

 

Work Conditions:

· Flexibility to work from home when appropriate

· Office space is provided

· Travel is an expectation and requirement for the responsibilities assigned to this role

· If guidelines are follows, risks of exposure to hazardous conditions and blood borne pathogens is minimal

 

Physical Demands:

Sedentary - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
