California’s Great America is casting SINGERS/DANCERS/ACTORS for stage shows that will entertain our guests as a part of the “Peanuts Celebration.” Seeking versatile and dynamic performers from a diverse spectrum of gender identities, ethnicities, and cultural backgrounds. An ideal applicant has performance experience in all three desired disciplines (Singing, Dancing, and Acting).  Jazz & Musical Theatre dance skills are required. Dance combinations will be taught at the audition. Please wear appropriate dance attire. Shoes must be worn at all times. Please bring a photo and resume.  Please prepare 16-bars of a standard musical theatre song selection. An accompanist will be provided. No CD’s. Performers must be at least 18 years of age. Rehearsals begin in March 2024. This role is compensated at a rate of $24.00/hr. Those who would like to be considered must attend an in-person audition. Video submissions will not be accepted.

Responsibilities:
  • Using your talents to enrich California’s Great America’s atmosphere for guests
  • Working as a member of a team to achieve overall atmosphere and goals set by Entertainment leadership and show directors
  • Consistently performing your role as scripted and/or conceived
  • Remaining in character while "on‑stage” and in view of guests and interacting with guests while performing in a professional and artistic manner
  • Providing guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions, and giving accurate directions
  • Maintaining cleanliness and safety in assigned your work area and performing all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements, including reporting all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision
  • Meeting scheduling availability requirements that include nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Fulfilling attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair's attendance policies
  • Adhering to Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures
  • Performing other duties as they are assigned

Qualifications:
  • Availability to work all assigned rehearsal and event dates that include weekday/weekends nights and holidays
  • Jazz and Musical Theatre dance experience (required)
  • Singing experience (required)
  • Willingness and ability to wear make‑up and costumes for extended periods of time
  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law
  • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, and DMV
  • Ability to provide record of previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law
