We’re currently seeking a STRUCTURAL ENGINEER/TEAM LEADER New York City office is currently looking for an experienced Team Leader to perform NBIS Bridge and Ancillary Structure inspection Requirements: The candidate must be qualified as a team leader in accordance with the National Bridge Inspection Standards. Experience with NYSDOT and a PE license is required. Completion of a NHI two (2) week Bridge Inspector’s Training Certificate is required. Qualifications: A BSCE degree with a minimum experience of (5) five years in bridge inspection is preferred. Candidates should possess extensive technical experience, verbal and interpersonal skills, the ability to manage manpower and financial resources, and strong leadership and communication skills. Must be ready to do field and office work and have excellent verbal, interpersonal and meticulous written communication skills. Bridge Design/Rehabilitation and Bridge Load Rating experience will be a plus. The Inspection and Maintenance of Ancillary Highway Structures course is preferred. Should have Refresher course or NYSDOT BI Meeting class if the NHI two week course was taken more than 5 years ago. FCM, tunnel inspection NHI courses, railroad, and/or safety training are a plus. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Performing field inspections and load rating. Preparing scheduling, writing inspection reports, assuring QA/QC, and project coordination. Position will require the ability to work in the field year-round, with occasional night and weekend work, and limited travel. Bridge Inspection & Evaluation is the core expertise of the firm, earning a national reputation for serving DOT’s / bridge owners on major projects in over 20 states throughout the U.S. The company has embarked on the adaptation of New Technology in inspecting, evaluating, and designing bridges. This includes Drone Inspections, laser scanning and point-cloud mapping of large, complex structures, and the procurement and installation of sophisticated wireless (5G) bridge movement and monitoring devices.
