Job Description

This position reports to the Chief Business Development Officer and is responsible for ensuring the highest quality service and customer satisfaction for our clients. The Marketing Representative/Settlement Officer is expected to market realtors, builders, investors and loan officers in order to originate deals and meet company goals. As well as conduct the settlements for all deals that they originate. Sales experience plus an existing book of clients and superior client service skills will be critical to succeeding in this role.

Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Market realtors, builders, investors and loan officers;
  • Plan, host and attending marketing events;
  • Attend all Marketing/Sales Meetings;
  • Originate settlements and work to meet monthly settlement goals;
  • Daily communication with clients, realtors, lenders, lawyers, vendors, and team members;
  • Meet with clients that come by the office and Conduct settlements;
  • Resolve client complaints quickly and in calm, professional manner; and
  • Provide the highest level of customer service in all communications both internally and externally; and maintain a professional image.

Qualifications:

  • Prior marketing/sales experience and existing clients required;
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a settlement officer in the state of Maryland;
  • A 4 year degree from an accredited college or university or acceptable work experience from a law office or title company;
  • Experience in preparing settlement statements, conducting settlements, balancing and disbursing a file required;
  • Short Sale, Foreclosure and Tax Sale settlement experience preferred;
  • A proven record of successfully conducting settlements;
  • Experience interacting with clients on a regular basis and delivering highest quality service;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Leader, team oriented and professional; and  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to successfully originate and conduct settlements;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and social skills;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills;
  • High level of professionalism;
  • Ability to work 40+ hours a week including some evenings or weekends as necessary;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment and function well under pressure; and
  • Ability to successful resolve client complaints.
