Spa Concierge

SUMMARY
The Spa Concierge will primarily provide guests with exceptional service when checking into and out of the spa, creating spa reservations, maintaining cleanliness of Spa Pendry's reception, locker room, and fitness areas, and making appropriate personalized recommendations for each guest during their visit. This role will contribute to the organization as an active business partner that is responsible for supporting the company's goals, objectives, vision, mission, and values.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Major areas of responsibility/ management include, but are not limited to:
  • Assist in greeting and welcoming guests to the Spa, providing information to any inquiries, help to coordinate all guest requests for services and maintain impeccable cleanliness of all Spa Pendry areas.
  • Creating spa reservations, making product recommendations, and ensuring that their day is scheduled appropriately
  • Assist with the cleanliness and organization of reception, locker rooms, and fitness center.
  • Assisting with removing used linen and restocking linen.
  • Ensuring an adequate supply of clean towels, robes and guest-wear are available for use.
  • Provide services to guests in a timely, courteous and proficient manner.
  • Assist fellow associates with daily operations to support healthy teamwork and contribute to the success of the Spa.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school or equivalent education required
  • Minimum 2 -3 years of customer service experience in a hotel, Spa and/or fitness environment
  • Working knowledge of spa services and products
  • Possess basic math skills and have the ability to accurately handle billing
  • Ability to communicate clearly and speak, read, write and understand English
  • Advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; daily use of nearly all programs will occur

PREFERRED
  • Prior front desk, spa or health club experience preferred
  • Luxury hotel experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Position requires walking and giving direction most of the working day; must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 6 hours in length. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis. Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
