A private individual is looking to hire an Executive Housekeeper/Cook to work in their staffed home located in Great Falls, VA.
**** Relocation could be provided for the right candidate, the position will be a live-out role in Great Falls VA, but live in when traveling to the other homes. The candidate must be able to travel during the winter months to the principal's Florida home as well as one other location. ****
TONE OF THE HOME:
The household consists of a principal and two medium sized dogs. The tone of the home is casual; however, frequent entertaining calls for a more formal approach at times. Although the home is casual overall, they are seeking a professional well versed Executive Housekeeper. Overall, the household requires precise and polished management and upkeep. A candidate who is well experienced, well poised, professional and flexible will succeed well in this role.
CLIENT OBJECTIVE
To hire an experienced Housekeeper/Cook who will assist in the daily upkeep of a large and complex Northern Virginia estate and be available to accompany the principal to the Florida residence for extended periods during the winter months. The ideal candidate will be able to cook healthy meals-any catering or professional cooking experience would be seen as a plus. She needs to also be a clear communicator, team player, flexible in terms of job description, enthusiastic about taking on any required task, and a dog lover. Canidate must be covid vaccinated.
QUALIFICATION AND CHARACTER PROFILE
•Must have at least 5 years of related experience in a similar position
•Must be courteous and discreet and have a pleasant up-beat personality
•Must be "invisible" in the workplace providing quiet and privacy for the principal and guests •Must be a team player, hard working, self-starter, meticulous, and detail orientated with strong organizational and communication skills
•Must have excellent time management skills
•Must have the physical strength and stamina required to work extended periods
•Must always be neat, well groomed, and presentable
GENERAL DUTIES
•Work as a team with the Estate Manager and full-time Housekeeper to ensure the daily overall cleanliness of the home is maintained and to provide a tidy and sanitary environment for principal and guests
•Assist the Estate Manager with daily meal preparation and kitchen management including kitchen cleanliness, safe food handling practices, and assuring frequently used items are kept stocked •Knowledge of both formal and informal table settings
•Excellent knowledge of cleaning appliances, and proper use of cleaning agents
•Knowledge of the proper handling of fine items including crystal, china, silver, furnishings, and artwork •Perform all tasks assigned with an attention to detail

Position Requirements:
- Must have at least 5 years of experience as a full-time housekeeper
- Must be able to travel within the US
- Must have a Driver's License
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
- Must be able to provide 2 references
Position Compensation:
- $80,000 - 120,000 year Depending on experience
- Health Insurance Stipend
- 2 weeks PTO
- Work Days: Monday - Friday 9 am - 5 pm - Flexibility needed if principal is out of town
