**Area Sales Manager (Wholesale Mortgage) - Remote**

at Sprout Mortgage Baltimore, United States Sprout Mortgage is hiring an Area Sales Manager for their Wholesale Lending Division. The Area Sales Manager will focus on increasing their respective territory by identifying, developing, and mentoring a team of Account Executives while also developing and maintain mortgage broker and correspondent relationships with financial institutions.

Area Sales Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Contact, introduce Sprout Mortgage and make presentations to qualified financial institutions and banking partners (primarily in person at the clients place of business) regarding Sprout loan programs available through our wholesale/CL lending services.

* Obtain commitments and agreements with qualified financial institutions at presentations to enter broker-wholesale lending arrangements, evaluating whether clients qualify under the companys guidelines.

* Negotiate broker agreement terms with approved financial institutions and facilitates broker agreements and related documents and transactions of wholesale/correspondent loans.

* Identify, develop and lead a team of Account Executives within the said territory to additionally expand Sprout Mortgages wholesale business by developing new relationships and fostering client partnerships.

* Assist prospective clients with completing broker application packages, managing lending applications and compliance-related documents with all clients/qualified financial institutions.

* Identify, address, and assist performance issues with assigned clients to alleviate issues through improving processes and designing best practices.

* Perform reporting to analyze regional and individual production, detailing pipeline, and new business as requested.

* Additional related duties as requested by the VP of Sales.

**Requirements**

* Current wholesale mortgage sales experience within specific territories.

* 5-7 years of direct business to business selling experience (wholesale lending) within the mortgage industry, with a minimum 5-recent-years of successfully developing a wholesale territory.

* Willing to travel throughout related territories within the United States; this is an *outside sales position*, working in a remote office when not traveling.

* Understand and comply with the rules and regulations associated with mortgage compliance.

* Leadership demonstrating successful relationship building with established accounts, as well as forging new partnerships.

* Strong interpersonal skills taking pride in client service communications and abilities.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

* Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, ready to develop with the comp.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
