Housekeeping Supervisor

Cornerstone Club sits atop the Uncompahgre Plateau 18 miles southwest of Montrose, Colorado. As an award winning 4800-acre development, the development encompasses a private member's only club which includes a restaurant, an equestrian center, a shooting club, a Greg Norman Designed Golf Course, and more. In addition, Cornerstone Club has an extensive nature preserve, and walking/hiking/biking trails all which pay homage to the region's rich heritage.

SUMMARY

The Floor Supervisor in Housekeeping is responsible for supervision of the day-to-day functions of the department ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to the department's requirements and standards. This role will contribute to the organization as an active business partner that is responsible for supporting the company's goals, objectives, vision, mission, and values.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Major areas of responsibility/ management include, but are not limited to:
  • Thoroughly inspect assigned areas in order to provide feedback to management and associates on the cleanliness and maintenance of those areas against standards.
  • Provide supervision, coaching and training to House Attendants, Public Area Attendants, Turndown Attendants and Room Attendants.
  • When involved in guest room & cabin inspections and corrections need to be made, ensure the prompt return of clean rooms/cabin to reception for incoming guests.


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a housekeeping function
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English
  • Knowledge of housekeeping operations
  • Knowledge of housekeeping service techniques and cost controls such as manpower, productivity and other expenses
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office products; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook


PREFERRED
  • Hospitality experience strongly preferred
  • High school or equivalent education


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 6 hours in length. Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously. Must be able to lift up to 15-40 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis. Must be able to walk, stand, sit, bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks. Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment.
