**Description**
Corps/Department: Sheridan, WY
Reports to: Envoy in Charge
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Part Time (20 Hours p/Week)
Scope of Position:
- To drive TSA vehicles locally as relates to all phases of program implementation, including, but not
limited to: donation pick-ups, food deliveries, picking up of merchandise to and/or from the Thrift
Store, picking up supplies, transporting scrap metal from store, running errands, etc.
- To coordinate the proper storing of donated food, gifts-in-kind donations, and government
commodities deliveries to maintain a neat, orderly, safe, and sanitary facility and food/gift-in-kind
distribution operation.
- Light custodial duties
Essential Functions:
- To assist the Social Services Director coordinate volunteers in The Harvest Food Pantry for food
distribution: (schedules, duties, roles, etc).
- To manually load and unload vehicles (usually alone) from local store/business donors.
- To return the required paperwork from the various food sites and/or other donation pick-ups to
the Business manager and/or the Social Services Director as directed for recording, filing,
and/or electronic filing/computer input.
- To ensure the vehicle mileage logs are filled out accurately, completely, and timely.
- To be responsible for the fueling, washing, and light maintenance/repairs of fleet vehicles when
needed or as directed and to arrange for quarterly auto mechanic servicing of the fleet.
Custodial Duties:
- Daily: clean all restrooms, sweep and mop floors, vacuum office carpets, and take out
trash and recyclables, complete temperature logs for freezers and refrigerators, adjust
thermostats for utility cost savings, etc.
- Weekly: Mow lawn (seasonally), police trash outside, rotate food stock (if needed),
prepare chapel and restrooms for Sunday services, clean kitchen, etc.
- Seasonally: clear steps, ramp, sidewalks, and driveway of snow/ice and salt walkways
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Work Experience:
- High School Diploma and/or GED is required
- Previous box truck driving experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Minimally 21 years of age and possessing a valid Wyoming Driver's License
- The ability to complete a provided Salvation Army Vehicle Driving Certification
- Software-related skills: Efficient (Will Train. If needed)
Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an
intermittent or continuous basis. Ability to grasp, push, pull, and reach overhead. Ability to
operate telephone. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Ability to access and produce information from
the computer. Ability to understand written information. Qualifies individuals must be able to
perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation. A qualifies person

to meet the physical requirements of the position. The Salvation Army will attempt to satisfy

Other: Must possess common sense. Must be able to work independently. Must work well with
others (other staff, volunteers, supervisors, donors, store managers, etc.). Must be able to
organize and coordinate pick-ups with donors and store managers as well as working the other
job duties into the weekly schedule.
