Southern Community Labs is part of APHG, the leading provider of pathology services in New Zealand. We provide essential diagnostic lab test services to thousands of people across the country every single day.

**About the Role**

* This is not a normal courier role. As the face of our service, it is vital that you have a friendly approachable manner and a smile even when under pressure

* We need a cheerful and efficient Medical Courier to collect diagnostic specimens from medical facilities around Hawkes Bay and deliver them to our Hastings laboratory.

* This is a permanent full time role, working 40 hours per week Monday- Friday

* You must be comfortable transporting (carefully packaged) blood and other diagnostic samples.

**Previous experience is *not* essential, so as long as you have:**

* A positive and friendly approach

* A clean New Zealand Driver's Licence

* Excellent customer service skills including a high level of personal presentation

* Sufficient physical fitness to lift and carry light loads in and out of your vehicle all day

* Strong attention to detail and an ability to follow procedures accurately, even when under pressure

* Respect for ensuring patient confidentiality at all times and in all matters

* Eligibility to work in New Zealand

* Must be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 by the 1st January 2022
