General Summary:

The Tele Sales Representative is an inside sales and customer service position at TruVista Communications. Key responsibilities include following up on sales leads and making warm calls to potential customers to close sales and meet assigned sales goals. He/she also takes inbound calls from customers and records information, informs customers of special promotions and/or new services offered by TruVista, and sells new business and customer upgrades while providing exemplary customer support.

Essential Job Functions:

The essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Solicit and sell additional or upgraded services to both new and existing customers
  • Manage sales leads by tracking and following up on them to close new sales and customer upgrades
  • Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations over the phone and via the internet
  • Close sales and meet monthly sales goals in accordance with business development plan
  • Produce sales activity reports
  • Work with TruVista sales and operations team members to generate sales leads
  • Review existing customer accounts to identify and close new sales and service upgrades opportunities that are mutually beneficial to the customer and TruVista
  • Provide world-class service to customers, process orders for service installation, activation, disconnection, or change in service
  • Fill out contract forms, determine charges for services requested, collect deposits, prepare change of address records, and issue discontinuance orders
  • Take ownership of customer complaints concerning billing or services rendered, and refer complaints and service issues to appropriate departments for investigation and resolution
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned

  • Math Skills – Able to calculate adjustments and amounts such as discounts, pro-rata, percentages, and apply concepts of basic accounting
  • Professionalism – Maintains a professional appearance. Approaches others in a tactful manner, reacts well under pressure, and treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position. Accepts responsibility for own actions and follows through on commitments.
  • Computer Skills – Possesses solid operating knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and order processing software

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 6 months to 1 year of related experience and/or training
  • Industry experience and sales experience is preferred
  • Must have reliable transportation, as travel to other retail locations may be required based on business needs
