Vice President - Transportation National Lead - Bridge Design

PRIME AE Group, Inc. (www.primeeng.com), a multi-faceted and rapidly growing architectural and engineering firm with 20 office locations and 475+ employees throughout the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, and Southeast and Northeast areas, is seeking a Transportation National Lead for our Bridge Design practice.

Position Overview:

The primary focus of this role will be to lead and manage Prime's team of talent and project operations for Bridge Design companywide.

Primary Duties:

• Serve as the leader to our bridge design professionals to ensure they the necessary support in programming, technology and talent to win and deliver services with the of highest quality. The lead will be the point of contact with professional organization such as ACEC, IBTTA, ASHTO, and the regional ASHTO affiliates.
• Manage project delivery for the bridge design practice ensuring quality delivery to our clients and in project management to ensure the bridge design PM's are delivering on scope, schedule and budgets. The lead will also serve as a point of contact to many of Prime's clients across our markets.
• Serve as the highway/traffic lead with prime marketing as the point of contact and approval of all pursuits and proposals in the highway/traffic realm. Duties include overseeing the drafting of EOI, Technical, and Price Proposals as well as organizing/leading technical presentations as required.
• Perform Quality Assurance/Quality Controls for ongoing work at the task and contract level. Will also integrate assignments and work priorities of bridge highway/traffic team members into a comprehensive plan and schedule to fulfill project commitments
• Coordinate overlapping projects with the Highway/Traffic Practice and Bridge Inspection leaders. Will be a point of contact for other PRIME AE Group, Inc. business lines.
• Oversee a team of 40 professionals in 7 states and 13 offices where PRIME AE Group, Inc. has a transportation practice. Will lead in recruiting talent to grow the PRIME AE Group, Inc. Bridge Design practice.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in civil Engineering and licensed professional engineer (multi-state certifications a plus)
• 15-20 years of progressive project and people management experience with experience in remote team management preferred.
• Active industry member (ACEC, ITE, ASHE, ASCE, etc.).
• Proven business development ability to secure DOT Transportation Contracts.
• Proven AASHTO and MUTCD knowledge, CAD training and/or experience with relevant engineering software preferred.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships both internally and externally.
• Familiarity with industry standards and publications such as IBTTA and including, but not limited to, tFHWA, AASHTO Manual for Bridges.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
