The Midland Division Salvation Army Corps located in Kirksville, Missouri, is looking for an individual who would like to apply their experience as a Business Administrator. Under the direct supervision of the Corps Officer, the Business Administrator will perform general office duties to include but not limited to answering and routing telephone calls, overseeing volunteers, creation and maintenance of Emergency Service waiting list, schedule social service intake appointments, collect data, and other general office clerical duties.

This is a full-time 40 hour position.

Essential Functions

  • Supervise staff to include Store Manager and Pathway of Hope Case Manager.
  • Manage volunteers on Better Impact and Register to Ring.
  • Answer phones and take messages, direct calls to proper personnel as necessary.
  • Assist as needed with duties as relates to Corps Activities.
  • Assist with Social Services and Christmas Activities.
  • Perform Case Work as necessary.
  • Manage SIMS information.
  • Manage Meal Connect and help with food donation pick-ups.
  • Keep current mailing list of corps members and other active volunteers.
  • Provide required monthly stats.
  • Assist with TSAMM data entry.

Education and Experience

  • Preferred Bachelor's degree with one year work experience.
  • Combination of training and experience will be considered.
  • Position requires effective communication skills to greet the public.
  • Cooperative spirit with co-workers.
  • Ability to follow directions.
  • Ability to communicate with diverse and difficult personalities. Able to handle multiple tasks/projects at one time.
  • Requires a valid driver's license and pass TSA MVR check.

Physical and Working Conditions

  • Must be capable of frequently lifting 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be capable of performing the above essential duties in an office environment to include using a computer, answering phones, etc.
  • Use of computer will be a necessity for this position to utilize databases.
