VCA Animal Emergency Critical Care at The LifeCentre in Leesburg, VA is hiring a Licensed Veterinary Technician or LVT-eligible to join our team for part time Relief/On Call.
We offer 12 hour or 10 hour shifts with shift differential for overnights and weekends.
As part of a multi-specialty referral and ER hospital, we offer exposure to many aspects of advanced veterinary medicine. Our ER/ICU care allows you to use all of your skills in an exciting environment that provides the tools, equipment, and support to learn each day. Be part of an elite team!

About the Role
We want you to utilize your skills and knowledge to the fullest, while continuing to learn and grow. Duties will include:
Patient triage and assessment
Client education and care
Venipuncture, catheter placement
Laboratory sample collection and processing
Radiology and diagnostic testing
Medication preparation and administration
IV fluids and infusion set up and maintenance
Anesthesia monitoring
Surgical preparation and assisting
Safe and effective patient handling and restraint
Compassionate care for our hospitalized patients
Medical recordkeeping
Qualifications
Licensed Veterinary Technician in Virginia, license-eligible, or enrolled in an AVMA accredited program.
Experience with the level of care and fast pace of an ER/ICU settin
Compensation is competitive with consideration taken for experience and discussed upon hiring.
