Brief Description:

The Associate Director of RWE analytics will be responsible for providing strategic direction, overseeing the execution of RWE analytics projects, and driving innovation within the RWE analytics team. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of RWE methodologies, exceptional leadership skills and a proven track record in delivering high-quality RWE analytic projects. The Associate Director will be a subject matter expert on the use of Real-World Data (RWD and the role holder will transform RWD, such as administrative claims data, electronic medical records (EMR) and registry, into actionable insights for epidemiologic research, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) studies, clinical development, and regulatory interactions using advanced techniques and innovative data visualizations to support decision-making. The individual will develop internal collaboration on RWD assets, analytics, and technology across the organization.

Essential Functions

  • Lead RWE analytics projects as product lead across multiple molecules, in collaboration with internal partners, ensuring the value of Jazz products is fully supported by evidence for global and local regional audiences
  • Provide visionary leadership for the RWE analytics team, aligning activities with organization goals
  • Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring alignment with expectations and project timelines
  • Conduct RWE analytics using a variety of real-world big data sources, including administrative claims data, EMR or registry
  • Lead cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives and deliver actionable insights
  • Build and maintain strong relationship with stakeholders, understanding their business needs and delivering RWE insights that contribute to their strategic decision-making, effectively communicating complex analytical insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and collaborators to standardize, maintain and implement the data transformation and analysis requirements.
  • Follow quality control process to develop or provide input to high-quality, comprehensive study proposals or protocols
  • Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of analytical findings
  • Develop and maintain of RWE infrastructure to fulfil data transfer, storage and analytics, and to ensure data quality
  • Utilize relevant analytic software (eg. SAS, STATA, SSPS etc.) and big data platform (eg. Aetion) and develop data tables and graphs
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in RWE methodologies and data analytics, ensuring the generation of rigorous and impactful insights
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements, incorporating innovative analytical approaches into projects
  • Develop and communicate a clear vision for the team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Advanced degree in the areas of epidemiology, health economics, outcomes research, health services research or statistics with at least 5 + years' research experience
  • Fluence in statistical programming software (SAS, R, STATA)
  • At least 5 years with analytic experience of administrative claims or EMR
  • Experience in healthcare industry across multiple therapeutic areas, medical reimbursement, technical expertise in economic evaluations
  • Familiarity with US and global health care delivery system (eg. payers and reimbursement models)
  • Experience with big data analytical platforms
  • A track record of peer-reviewed scientific publications demonstrating expertise in RWE
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams required to support program, project and contract management and financial reporting

Required/Preferred Education and Licenses

  • Master's degree in epidemiology, health economics, outcomes research, health services research, or related discipline; PhD degree is preferred

Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices and we strive to provide employees with total compensation packages that are market competitive.

For this role, the full and complete base pay range is $163,200-$244,800. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, and other pertinent factors. The goal is to ensure fair and competitive compensation aligned with the candidate's expertise and contributions, within the established pay framework and our Total Compensation philosophy. Internal equity considerations will also influence individual base pay decisions. This range will be reviewed on a regular basis.

At Jazz, your base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation (depending on the role), in accordance with the terms of the Company's Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz's Long Term Equity Incentive Plan.
