A Day in the Life and the Impact You'll Make:

Primary responsibility will be to generate new account business specially in EMC and Type Approval Services while also growing and maintaining existing accounts business. The Sales Manager will be responsible for revenue, growth, and customer service targets. In addition, will be the primary business contact with new customers and serve as the customer advocate, the "voice of the customer." DEKRA is a provider of testing and engineering services to multiple industries including Automotive, Telecom, Wireless, Medical, and Consumer Electronics. To be considered, although experience in selling product testing services is highly desired, we will consider 5 years of outside B2B sales experience, to include new account/customer development, selling in a technical/engineering environment to one or more of the following industries: Aerospace, Defense, Space, Telecom, Wireless, Medical (Preferred), and Consumer Electronics.

What You'll Do:

  • Under general supervision, the Sales Manager is responsible for new account development and expanding existing accounts. The Sales Manager sells DEKRA's services to customers in medical and other industries.
  • Identify and pursue prospects through various lead generated activities, including tradeshows, direct mailing, advertising, cold-calling on key industry players, and referral program.
  • Identify new opportunities and drive conversations forward by advancing sales through the sales process including quoting, follow up, booking, and post sales activities.
  • Meet with prospects to understand their purchase decision makers, decision making process criteria, and their needs.
  • Support the development of sales presentations to grow the clientele for DEKRA's services.
  • Provide value propositions, handle objections, prepare quotes, and close sales by getting prospects' commitments.
  • Retain existing customers that are not managed by account management teams. Develop strategic customer loyalty and success plans by working closely with operations.
  • Increase the loyalty, retention, and growth of large strategic accounts by facilitating the completion of complex projects and improving the efficiency at which those accounts do business with DEKRA
  • Perform other duties as directed.


What You'll Bring:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience: 5 years of directly related experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively and concisely.
  • General knowledge of company policies and sales processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute projects to stated objectives.
  • Knowledge of the Wireless Industry (Wireless within Medical Vertical will be good to have)
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Understanding of regulatory RF/Wireless testing, EMC and certifications including FCC, TCB, ISED Canada CB, and EU NB program requirements (Europe: RED, EMCD, LVD, Medical Safety specially in EN60601. US: FCC Unintentional, licensed, and unlicensed transmitters, Canada: ISED Canada RSS, RSP and ICES standards. Cybersecurity.


Physical Considerations:

  • Must be able to work in a variety of client locations, environments, and conditions. This may include climbing stairs, walking long distances, walking on rough and uneven terrain, walking through client work facilities, working in heat/cold conditions, indoors and outdoors.
  • Must be able to accommodate working various shifts as client activities are scheduled.
  • Must be able to withstand the rigors of extensive travel; including long periods of driving, etc.
  • Ability to perform work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift 25-50lbs (e.g. luggage)
  • Ability to work in a general office environment
  • Ability to handle extended periods of computer-based work, including telephone
  • Ability to work flexible and long hours, as needed


Travel Considerations:

  • Domestic travel required, estimated up to 30%

Compensation:

The base pay for this position is $86,800 annually to $128,400 annually. Actual pay is based on several factors including market location and position-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
