Innvite Hospitality is recruiting an Sales Manager. This position will spearhead the sales and marketing for our Columbus Area Hotels: the Holiday Inn Express Obetz, OH and The Quality Inn and Suites Columbus North/Polaris. The ideal candidate will conduct phone and in-person sales calls and book group blocks and corporate accounts. Previous sales experience is required, previous hotel experience is not neccissary. Hotel sales training for candidates with sales experience, but no hospitality experience.

The Holiday Inn Express Obetz is located in the logistics center of Obetz, OH located near Rickenbacker Airport in South Columnus. The Holiday Inn Express is part of the IHG Family Of Hotels which are top choices for business travelers.

The Quality Inn and Suites Columbus North/Polaris, is located in the Crossroads Corporate Park neare Worthington, OH on Route 23. The hotel is near the demand drivers of the Crossroads Corporate Park, and the growing area of Powell/Lewis Center on Route 23. The Quality Inn is part of the Choice Family of Hotels.

This postion can be based at either hotel.

The ideal candidate will be hands on, directing and executing the sales and revenue generation for both hotels. We want your professionalism, input and drive to ensure our hotels' success.

The ideal candidate will not have to go it alone, Innvite Hospitality the parent company will provide training and support to ensure your success.

This is a salaried position, with a bonus/commission structure.

In addtion, deeply discounted travel within the IHG and Choice Family of Hotels is available.

  • One year of hotel sales experience with a focus-service or a full-service brand, or one year of proven sales success selling a service or product.
  • Work together with the General Manager to ensure top-line revenue goals are achieved on a monthly basis.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager, Brand Revenue Manager and Director of Revenue to establish rate guidelines for transient, corporate account and group rates.
  • Conduct proactive phone, outside, and creative site tour solicitations each week and achieve the monthly solicitation goal.
  • Meet and exceed the monthly booking and solicitation goals.
  • Enter all solicitations into ZOHO our Customer Relations Management (CRM) tool.
  • Execute the quarterly sales action plan.
  • Answer online and telephone sales leads within 8 hours.
  • Work with the IHG and Choice National Sales Teams to gain room nights from accounts managed by the brand.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends on occasion if needed, to meet with clients.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to attend mixers and breakfasts which may occur outside standard working hours.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and overcome objections and close business.
  • Ability to sell value vs. discounting rate.
  • Ability to determine the strengths and weaknesses of area focus-service hotels, sell against the competition, and shift share to our hotels.
