Class A CDL Spotter Driver job expectations include, but are not limited to the following:

* Comply with Safety, Quality, and Production requirements and procedures

* Regular/dependable attendance required

* Able to work with and around moving equipment

* Must be able to back equipment and trailers into close docks and through parking lots safely and efficiently

* Must maintain a safety driving record

* Attend all required safety and performance meetings.

* Driver must abide by all DOT regulations and will be accountable for all CSA2010 incidents.

QUALIFICATIONS

* Must have and maintain a valid CDL Driver's license

* Pass a current Medical Examiners Certificate every 2 years as determined by DOT requirements

* Must be at least 18 years of age

* Pass random drug tests determined by the DOT requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Knowledge and/or experience of driving in large metropolitan areas preferred. Must have safe driving record. Must be familiar with all DOT regulations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must have only one valid CDL license.

Must have current Medical Examiner's Certificate.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to steer a tandem axle tractor, shift gears, depress a clutch, brake or accelerator. Ability to feel, speak aloud and hear. A driver is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. A driver must be able to occasionally lift and/or move over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. All sensory requirements will be tested by an approved DOT physician.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a driver encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the driver will be exposed to outside weather conditions. Noise levels in the work environment are usually moderate. The driver is confined to the cab of a truck for extended periods of time during the day or night.
