Consumer Activities Specialist

Alleghenies Unlimited Care Providers is a growing non-profit agency that believes in accessible communities and the importance of living a life of dignity focused on need and preference by providing exceptional personal care, housekeeping, instruction, inclusion, and transportation services to individuals of all abilities and aging.

We are currently seeking a Consumer Activities Specialist 20-25 hrs./week. Our Activities Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of planning and coordination of the AbilityWorks consumer activity program that focuses on providing community integration for individuals with limited access

The ideal candidate will have event planning experience with a focus on community engagement for individuals with intellectual and/or physical disabilities.. Possess a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential interactions and documentations. Prioritize growth and improvement of activities offered and consumer group. Build community bonds with volunteer organizations, schools, and community members. Ability to use out of the box thinking to generation and use of unique funding sources.
