About this job

NICU RN

Overview As our NICU Nurse at CHI St. Joseph Health, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health, you'll focus on the newborn's safety with kindness and compassion. To thrive in this role, you'll need to appreciate that routine is never routine. We have some wonderful days in this department and get to be with people through huge life milestones. We also have some hard days and are with people as they grieve. You must be sensitive and understanding to different circumstances. Above all else, you must remain calm in an emergency. A newborn's status can change quickly, and it's never suitable for the mother or family to see the nurse in a panic. You're calm. You're in control. You're handling the situation. CHI St. Joseph Health: Since 1936 CHI St. Joseph Health has been caring for the communities in Bryan, College Station, Brenham, Hearne, Navasota, Caldwell, Madisonville, and Bellville.
