Position Overview
The System Administrator I is responsible for monitoring the AITC Corporate Help Desk and resolving all trouble tickets promptly. The system administrator will support corporate network, operation and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure, including end-user systems and information systems supporting users, computers, printers, and servers across multiple site locations. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Local Area Networks, Wide Area Networks and data communications equipment. Analyze and fix network-related problems reported by users.
The Systems Administrator I will ensure that information systems and infrastructure are in accordance with company policies, ensure established processes are followed and that network systems are maintained at or above industry standards. The Systems Administrator I shall work on-site and may be required to travel routinely to CONUS locations to support remote staff and other activities in support of assigned work.
Responsibilities/ Duties
  • Manage users and computers through Microsoft 365 Azure
  • Ensure corporate network systems are NIST compliant
  • Maintain a highly secure system through proper configuration and system access monitoring
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with user access to cloud services
  • Deliver a consistent process for incident and problem escalation along with resolution
  • Define and document best practices and support procedures
  • Responsible for support of Windows workstations and printers.
  • Monitor and support server backups and system hardening practices including anti-virus protection, IAVA Policy Compliance and patch management.
  • Monitor, analyze, and resolve problems that occur in the corporate network.
  • Be proficient with DNS, WINS, DHCP, and TCP/IP.
  • Provide after-hours support for Infrastructure related emergencies as well occasional weekend maintenance if necessary
  • Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation
  • Work on special projects assigned by the IT & Services Manager
Minimum Requirements
  • 1-5 years of IT system and network administration experience working in a globally distributed infrastructure
  • Possess a Security + CE Certification
  • Experience working and updating status of problems through a trouble ticketing system in a customer service environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure AD and Microsoft Exchange
  • Exceptional interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient knowledge of modern Windows operating systems
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Technical documentation and use of all Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
  • Positive, self-motivated individual who can complete tasks independently
Desired Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science (or related area)
  • DoD Secret level Clearance or the ability to get one
  • Possess a Modern Microsoft Certification
  • Proven Microsoft 365 administration experience
