Job SummaryConduct daily site visits to ensure the County's renovation projects are conducted in accordance with contract documents, permit requirements, and County policies.
Develop reports on construction progress, field conditions, and project issues.
Facilitate the resolution of any project issues.
Review design documents and make recommendations on ways to improve schedule and budget.
Be responsible for contract procurements and ensure procurements align with the County's procurement policies.
Assist the Construction Program Manager with financial and budgetary matters.
Oversee all aspects of the project and manage contractors to include coordinating the staging and sequencing of projects and verifying work is completed to the County's high standards.
Oversee the construction team's quality assurance and quality control plan.
A proven track record of success in leading and managing construction projects.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in local government or commercial construction management preferred.
An understanding and ability to interpret complex architectural, MEP, and structural construction documents.
Ability to prepare written and oral reports, keep detailed records, and schedule work efficiently.
Proficiency in creating project estimates and tracking budgets.
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to prioritize work for self and staff and manage multiple projects and tasks.
Hiring salary is commensurate with experience Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in field related to assigned department; four (4) years of related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
