As our Manufacturing Enablement Specialist, you'll support HID's success by:
* Acting as primary support within the HID Cypress distribution center (DC) to Production's (assembly and test areas) issues and requests in the spirit of Continuous Improvement
* Supporting Design for Manufacturability (DFM) review process for New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives, assist in Launch Verification Readiness Test (LRVT).
* Participating in the procurement, start-up and integration of new tooling and capital equipment to support production and facility enhancements as required.
* Developing documented guidelines, work instructions (WRI) and training for manufacturing processes and/or equipment (tooling, fixturing, gages, etc.) introduction as needed.
* Obtaining a good grasp of the current and any new Operations Solutions and IT to provide low level/immediate support to enable fulfillment.
* Identifying and investigating new technologies to refine manufacturing processes that a) reduce operating costs and scrap, b) improve quality (First-Pass yield) and safety.
* Collaborating with HID functional orgs across the globe to drive short-term and long-term solutions and improvements to achieve goals outlined as part of Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE).
* Reviewing and updating processes and manufacturing documentation of current products as a result of process and engineering design changes to ensure ISO compliance.
* Reviewing, creating, and implementing Engineering (ECO), Manufacturing (MCO) or Documentation (DCN) change orders in a timely manner.
* Evaluating and maintaining time standards that result in increased productivity and precision.

What we will love about your background:
* Good knowledge of Oracle and Agile or similar systems
* Comfortable with navigating a matrixed organization with many stakeholders in various time zones
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving and data presentation skills

Your Experience and Education include:
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) production environment is required
* High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education required; AA degree in Electrical and/or Mechanical engineering is preferred
* Background of Electrical, Electronic and Mechanical production machinery is essential.
* Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing internally within HID as well as externally with suppliers and customers when needed.
* Ability to read & interpret engineering drawings, Bills of Material (BOM), tech journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.
* Excellent knowledge of ISO9001 standards and commitment to its adherence
* Experience in lean methodology is required, including Process Mapping, 5S etc.

The wage range for this role considers a broad scope of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At HID, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The base salary for California is $86,331 to $90,618.
