** Summary**

**Responsibilities**

This position will be responsible for administering, planning, and directing all facets of product and supply material management programs, including plant work order fulfillment, maintaining storeroom inventory supply levels, maintaining building specific preventive maintenance kits, supplying and tracking of IT items, and management of stocked compressed gases, cryogens and specialty gas request. Plans, manages, and executes complex assignments utilizing TrackAbout, Maximo, and other storeroom tracking systems to manage various inventories. Primary point of contact for management and researchers on issues relating to all inventory items including compressed gases and cryogens. Includes but is not limited to safety concerns, quantity stocked, MSDS information, item stockage, and special purchase requests. COR II and approving Official for purchases and conducting credit card reconciliations. Communicate with suppliers concerning contract negotiation and issue resolution. Update policy, regulations and acquisition reports, Performance Work Statements (PWS) and Statements of Work (SOW). Serves as bank card purchaser and will be required to obtain Purchase Card Certification within ninety (90) days of hire. COR Level II to serve as Contracting Officer's Representative or back up on Storeroom Contracts and BPA's including Compressed Gas and Cryogen contracts and BPAs' and Liquid Helium and Liquid Nitrogen contracts. Respond to internal and external customers and stakeholders by replying to requests for information and complying with the standards of the Facilities Services Division, by appraising the customers of the status of an inquiry and the date of expected resolution, by identifying customer needs and clarifying customer issues, by clearly communicating to customers the levels of service and the expected time frames.

** Qualifications**

**To qualify, applicants must have:**

One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level. Specialized experience is defined as experience in receiving, issuing and reconciling supply transactions for a multiple commodity storeroom to include compressed gases and cryogens; experience with Government purchasing transactions.

**OR**

Master's or equivalent graduate degree

**OR**

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

**OR**

LL.B. or J.D., if related

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done. We will credit all qualifying volunteer experience in your application.

**Additional information**

The physical worksite for this position is located in Gaithersburg, MD. However, the National Institute of Standards and Technology is currently under a maximum telework posture due to the COVID-19 pandemic; therefore, this position may be under a 100 percent telework schedule. The positions telework schedule will likely change in the future when the National Institute of Standards and Technology moves away from its maximum telework posture. At that time, the incumbent will be expected to report to the physical work site in accordance with the updated status requirements of their supervisor. The nature and scope of future telework opportunities will be subject to the units telework policy, any applicable bargaining unit agreements, and supervisory approval. Payment of relocation expenses, as applicable, will be paid in accordance with this Job Opportunity Announcement. Non-compliance with the supervisor's telework-schedule requirement could result in adverse action, including separation.

This position is covered under NISTs Alternative Personnel Management System (APMS).
