We have a job opening and exciting opportunity for a full-timeRelief Delivery Driver in our Andersonville, TNlocation.The primary role ofRelief Delivery Driver is to serve as a delivery driver servicing healthcare facility such as hospitals, clinics, long term extended care facilities, and transfers to our own regional facilities, with warehouse work as needed. Some overtime as required.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for delivering merchandise to the customer in a courteous, professional and cooperative manner; assists customer in whatever way needed.
  • Reports any shipping errors to Supervisor.
  • Inspects vehicle daily, reporting all malfunctions or defects to management; maintains all DOT regulations.
  • Some routes have dock deliveries using a pallet jack to unload and some routes are hand unload using a lift gate. Most routes are a combination of both. When not driving, the hours for this position are during the day, with possible overtime.
  • The driver will be required to load their own truck.
  • When not driving, duties will include picking orders in our warehouse utilizing the voice pick system, helping in the Receiving department, light maintenance, helping at off site table deliveries, delivering/picking up trucks that are being serviced, and making special deliveries that may occur during the day or night.
  • Must be able to work effectively with all internal departments and customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.


What You Will Need To Be Successful:

  • High School Diplomaor equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) at a minimum is required, but a Class A CDL is preferred.
  • Must be courteous to our customers, honest, and dependable.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills required.
  • Must be able to perform all physical motions typical of a driver and warehouse employee including lifting, stacking, pulling, and pushing 60 pounds or more.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Dependable and able to work with little supervision.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment.
  • Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission tractors.
  • Flexible work hours required.
  • Proven attendance record a must.
  • Maintain all DOT regulations and requirements; including being able to pass a DOT drug screen.
  • Must be accurate and have good attention to detail.
  • Must work in a safe, efficient and respectful manner with other personnel.
  • Follows good housekeeping procedures.
  • Adheres to all company and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) DOT drug screening, physical and background check.
