What you'll be doing in this role:

The Housekeeping Supervisor works in conjunction with the Housekeeping team to maintain the cleanliness and organization of the hotels with a focus on the guestrooms and designated Housekeeping areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect guestrooms to ensure all quality standards are met, within a timely manner (minimum of 35 a day or what the operation require)
  • Use operation software including 12 points inspections to guarantee the inspections quality (minimum of 5 per day)
  • Prepare VIP’s, Site, and other special rooms in time for inspection.
  • Consistent communication with the Housekeeping team and other departments (Engineering, Front Office, etc.)
  • Input tickets for deficiencies in Public Areas, Engineering, and wherever else is necessary
  • Ensure the designated Housekeeping areas are kept clean and organized through delegation to the appropriate party
  • Lead and assist the Room Attendants and House Attendants as necessary to ensure 4PM room readiness (can include making beds, striping rooms, etc.)
  • Maintain oversight of the team to ensure smooth operation
  • Review monthly trainings with the team and ensure compliance
  • Coach and Counsel the team as necessary
  • Ensure room attendants are cleaning each area in accordance to SOP for chemical and safety.
  • Ensure team members are trained on MIPP procedures and safety precautions.
  • Review DND signs, and assist Coordinator/Manager in ensuring the Attendant boards are balanced.
  • Pass down any relevant information
  • Provide warm, humble and knowledgeable service throughout the property
  • Monitor all guest areas
  • Be responsive on the radio (Zello application)


Employee Relations

  • Assist in creating a culture that encourages our staff to grow
  • Support service teams
  • Prepare all required paperwork including forms, reports, and schedules in an organized and timely manner


General/Miscellaneous

  • Ensure in quality of guest experience, service, operational effectiveness, employee retention, and satisfaction
  • Ensure consistent, thorough, and timely communication to peers, managers, guests, and vendors
  • Continually strive to provide opportunities to advance the education and development of staff as it relates to food, wine, and service
  • Understand and comply with all federal, state, county, and municipal regulations/ordinances that pertain to health, safety, and labor requirements of the farm/restaurant/inn, its employees, and its guests
  • All other duties as assigned by manager
Qualifications:

In an ideal world, you have

  • 2+ years of Supervisorial experience at a luxury hotel
  • Commitment to quality, excellence, and genuine hospitality
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and flexible, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under time constraints
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to listen, communicate, and make connections
  • Relevant experience in high-end hospitality/restaurant operations
  • Excellent Mobile Device competency (HotSOS, Zello, Apple & Android UI)
  • A person of integrity; fair and consistent
  • Creative problem-solving and critical decision-making skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across the organization
  • Availability as needed to accommodate hotel occupancy (Summer, Spring, weekends, holidays)

ENVIRONMENTAL AND/OR PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely and successfully with federal, state, and local standards
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, push and pull up to 80 pounds
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to physically maneuver through work areas; bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, climb stairs and steps, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment
