JOB SUMMARY

  • MRI Technologists are responsible to perform high quality MRI scans according to department protocols; under the MRI Technologists are responsible to perform high quality MRI scans according to department protocols; under the supervision of a qualified Physician for diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases. Safety is the number one priority in MRI; therefore the technologist must screen the patient and anyone else before they can enter the magnetic field. The technologist provides direct patient care for all ages of patients. The technologist is to provide very good customer service; that is to treat every patient with respect, courtesy and explain the exam to the patient. The technologist must be able to work together with others providing a positive work environment. The technologists are responsible to provide a safe environment for the patients, fellow employees and themselves.


Qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Vocational / Technical Degree in Radiology Technology (Required)
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • 1 - 2 years MRI (Preferred)
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSURES
  • Required Certifications/Licensures: Radiology Technologist (RT),Certified Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR)(ARRT), Basic Life Support (BLS)
