Job Description and Requirements

Synopsys is looking for an experienced and driven Director, Global Credit & Collections to join their team. In this role, the Director will work closely with Business and Operational Leadership and teams within the Synopsys Group to provide real-time support and analytics. The Director will act as a trusted advisor and add value to assist in decision-making. Success in this role will depend on the Director's ability to effectively communicate messages, understand their audience, and deliver information in a clear and user-friendly manner. The ideal candidate will possess a mix of analytical, commercial, and communication skills to be a successful business partner.


Responsibilities:

  • Senior Finance position in Synopsys' global HQ in Sunnyvale/West Coast of the US.
  • Reporting to the Senior Director Revenue Recognition, based in Sunnyvale.
  • Demonstrate exemplary people management of the global Credit and Collections team.
  • Working closely with the C&C leaders in each geography about the operations management, leadership, and administration tasks of the global team.
  • Responsible for optimizing global cash collections, quarterly DSO targets, and AR Aging profile.
  • Refining global credit policy, setting customer credit limits, and credit approval of significant customer contracts.
  • Partnering with customer-facing teams, building strong relationships both internally and with customers.
  • Understanding and anticipating the needs of both operations and management and actively influencing day-to-day decisions, shaping strategy and the direction of the business, and implementing industry best practices.
  • Develop, track, and report regular updates to senior management of KPIs, analysis, and trends and build a robust collection team with a global footprint.
  • Responsibility for cash forecasting, DSO, Aging, and trending analysis.
  • Partnering with and managing departmental teams around the execution of functional activities and process improvements and being comfortable working with ambiguity

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Management, or Economics.
  • Minimum of 15+ years relevant experience, including management of proficient local and remotely based teams.
  • Proven track record in a multinational high-tech environment.
  • Experience in implementing an end-end receivable management system. Proficiency in SAP ERP and associated credit management-related tools.
  • Results-focused, understands what is important to senior management.
  • Pro-active approach to problem identification and problem-solving, designed to be a step ahead of others.
  • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization with the capability to build solid, lasting, trust-based working relationships.
  • An ability to lead, inspire, and motivate both direct reports and subject matter experts across different departments and functions.
  • Ability to lead multiple team projects simultaneously.
The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $194,000-$290,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses.
