Position Title: Technical Trainer/Writer

Wage: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm (Mon-Fri)   

QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity for a Technical Trainer/Writer at a company in Oostburg, WI. This is a direct hire opportunity. 

Technical Trainer/Writer Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Write and create templated manuals for customized manufacturing machines.
- Develop a library of resources regarding the optimization of internal machines and best practice.
- Support employees through timely development of resources to minimize downtime and increase ramp up time to usability of new machines.
- Identify problems and escalate accordingly.
- Develop the department and position with the support of the executive team.
- Develop and present in-house training materials for our internal stakeholders.
- Develop external facing training material for our customers.
- Communicate with transparency.
- 30% - 40% of your time will be focused on creating templated manuals.
- Developing technical resources manuals for customized machines
- Attends meetings to keep informed of manufacturing and new development needs and priorities and provide analytical information and expertise.
- Write, format, edit, review, and proof procedural and technical information for technical and nontechnical users.
- Collate and present training materials for internal employees, and external customers.
- Maintain a library of application documentation, cataloging for internal/external use.
- Gather and analyze technical and product information from various sources to document new or changing product functionality.

Technical Trainer/Writer Requirements:
- At least 1 – 2 years of technical writing experience.
- Excellent writing, editing and communication skills.
- Knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools.
- Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or technical school or work equivalent.
- Packaging design / manufacturing experience.
- Working/operational knowledge of CAD.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proactive, integrity driven and reliable.
- Continuous improvement and industry training upkeep.
- Occasionally works in proximity to moving mechanical parts.
- May occasionally travel on company business.
- Adhere to company and departmental SOP’s.
- Follow all company’s filed procedures and protocols.
- Willing to work with a team to troubleshoot problems.
- Team player that is a highly disciplined, problem-solver with a strong work ethic.
