Medication Technician

All responsibilities are to be performed within scope of practice per State/Provincial regulations.
• Maintain resident, employee, and community information in strict confidence (with community management or other
employees as necessary).
• Assist residents to self-administer specific oral medications.
• Adhere to all medication room systems per policy.
• Document pertinent information in Progress Notes.
• Communicate with Resident Care Managers/Charge Nurse per policy.
• Assist in development and revision of service plans by informing Resident Care Managers/Charge Nurse of current resident
needs and preferences as well as successful service approaches.
• Read Communication Log at beginning of each shift.
• Read inter-shift report at beginning of each shift.
