Job Description

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Strategic Planning Subject Matter Expert. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record in developing and implementing IT strategic plans at an enterprise (e.g., Federal Agency, Commercial Company, etc.) level, that align with organizational goals. With at least 10 years of relevant experience and a master's degree, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our IT strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Lead the development and execution of IT strategic plans, ensuring alignment with the overall organizational strategy. Utilize a holistic approach to identify opportunities for innovation, process improvement, and cost optimization.
  • Balance Scorecard:Develop and implement comprehensive Balance Scorecard framework to align organizational objectives, measure performance, and enable data-driven decision making.
  • Technology Roadmapping: Develop technology roadmaps that support the organization's long-term goals. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks associated with IT strategic initiatives. Develop contingency plans and ensure that risk management is an integral part of the strategic planning process.
  • Measurement and Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of IT strategic initiatives. Monitor and report on the progress of strategic plans, making data-driven adjustments as needed.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights, requirements, and feedback to inform the development of IT strategic initiatives. Facilitate workshops and discussions to ensure alignment among key stakeholders.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Provide leadership and guidance to IT teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Mentor junior staff members and contribute to the professional development of the IT team.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT Strategic Planning at an enterprise (e.g., Federal Agency, Commercial Company, etc.) level.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and translate strategic plans into actionable initiatives.
  • Proven experience in aligning IT strategies with organizational objectives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and make informed decisions.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and lead by example.
  • A passion for innovation and a keen interest in staying updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.

Education:

  • Master's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

Clearance Requirement:

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Active Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain one.
