We are searching for an exceptional Permanent Plant Controller to join our dynamic Finance & Accounting team in the Manufacturing industry. This position will play a pivotal role in providing financial leadership and strategic direction to our company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all general ledger activity, reporting systems, GAAP compliance, and corporate accounting processes.
  • Prepare and present financial reports including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Drive the cost accounting process including raw material, labor, and overhead costs, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
  • Implement risk management strategies and processes to protect the company's assets.
  • Develop and implement business strategies to achieve the company's financial goals.
  • Lead, guide, and manage the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with financial audits, prepare necessary documentation, and liaise with external auditors.
  • Utilize ERP systems, specifically Sage, to optimize accounting operations, processes, and workflows.
  • Foster a collaborative environment, promoting effective teamwork and communication across all levels of the organization.
  • Perform P&L analysis, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of GAAP, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, risk management, business strategy, financial planning, and financial reporting.
  • Proven experience in leadership and team management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate complex financial information to a wide range of audiences.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, specifically Sage.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and cost structures.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
