Position Description

Commissary employees work with all departments to ensure inventory control of all liquor, beer and bar supplies.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

NOTE: Traditions, Inc. ® may change the requirements of this job description at any time. These include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Embodies Traditions' Mission, Vision, and Core Values
  • Responsible for completing tasks related to stocking, replenishing, cleaning, and maintenance as needed
  • Follows requisition policies set in place for all products
  • Audits bar supplies, performs daily beer counts, and sets par at closing shifts
  • Maintains professional relationships with vendors
  • Tracks and orders products as needed
  • Continuously tracks inventory through electronic files to ensure accuracy
  • Rotates all dry storage to ensure product freshness
  • Maintains organized commissary and cooler areas; programs and numbers bottles as requested.
  • Continuously prepares purchase orders to ensure items are accounted for
  • Maintains personal health standards
  • Reviews work procedures and operational issues in order to determine ways to improve service, performance, and /or safety
  • This position is located within The Chickasaw Nation's Casinos. 

 

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

NOTE: These include, but are not limited to the following (additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary):

  • Providing information to supervisors, co-workers and vendors by telephone, written, email, or in person
  • Performing day to day administrative tasks, such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork
  • Uniforms should always be pressed and clean
  • Creating and supporting an environment of TEAMWORK
  • Superior attendance and punctuality
  • Attendance in mandatory meetings, training, workshops, and seminars
  • Adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Special projects as assigned by Commissary Manager
  • Assist various departments as requested
  • Recommending and discontinuing products as needs change

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (INCLUDES EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE):

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
  • Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, banking, and the analysis and reporting of financial data
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Above average computer skills, ability to compose and create reports, letters, memos, and procedures
  • Mature judgment and professionalism in handling all matters
  • Required knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as managing files and records and other office processes, procedures, and terminology
  • Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing
  • Excellent math skills
  • Excellent organization and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of InfoGenesis software
  • Bartending experience helpful
  • Integrity and honesty
  • Excellent Microsoft Applications knowledge
  • This position is located within The Chickasaw Nation's Casinos.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

  • Reaches, bends, stoops, lifts, carries and pushes
  • Lifts and carries supplies, and cases, weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Essential hand/eye coordination
  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior restaurant/bar/casino work environment
  • Noise level is moderate to high
  • Hot and cold weather exposure
  • Moderate or high exposure to cigarette smoke when on property
  • Limited exposure to physical risk
  • Moderate physical effort required
