We are on the hunt for an enthusiastic and experienced Permanent Assistant Controller to join our dynamic finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with a strong background in manufacturing accounting, who is ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Controller in all areas of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Play a key role in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process.
2. Oversee the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
3. Manage the General Ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
4. Prepare and review Balance Sheet Reconciliations on a monthly basis.
5. Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements.
6. Participate in the budgeting process and perform periodic budget-to-actual variance analyses.
7. Ensure compliance with accounting and tax laws and standards, as well as company policies.
8. Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls and financial procedures.
9. Support the Controller in ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met.
10. Assist in special projects and ad-hoc financial analyses as required.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; advanced degree or professional certification such as CPA is a plus.
2. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing accounting environment.
3. Proven experience with General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
4. Strong understanding of accounting theory, principles, and practices.
5. High proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly in Excel, and familiarity with accounting software.
6. Excellent analytical skills with a thorough attention to detail.
7. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple priorities, and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
10. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
