Job Summary

Performs work associated with both set-up and basic plastic processing functions.

Job Duties

• Perform all required setup activities to ensure the molding process meets the requirements
• Document processing changes, adjustments, problems or other action taken, notify quality department for any possible dimensioning re-verification and visual criteria needed due to process changes.
• Perform moderately complex troubleshooting of equipment/tooling and perform adjustments as needed to ensure the part meets all specifications
• Test and inspect machines to determine safe and efficient operation
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications and shop orders to determine machine setup, production methods and sequence of operation when applicable
• Operate powered industrial equipment if needed
• Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
• Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
• Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Education

• Perform work under general supervision
• Handle moderately complex issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher level staff
• Possess solid working knowledge of subject matter
• 2 to 4 years of experience in plastic injection molding; experience driving powered industrial equipment preferred
• Powered industrial equipment certification preferred
