Job Description

The Internal Wholesaler will be responsible for working closely with wholesalers, external vendors, and financial institutions to help promote the firm’s brand and investment products, to increase the engagement of the selling group, and to seek new capital for the firm. The Internal Wholesaler will provide comprehensive internal sales support in each stage of the investment sale process including the internal processes and all tasks associated with it.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate with assigned RVPs (external wholesalers) to understand the territory goals, travel/scheduling loops, and other methods to help increase RVP meeting activity and selling stage progression
  • Make proactive sales calls on a daily basis with new and existing financial representatives to strengthen relationships and find selling opportunities. This includes sales campaigns, new business, meeting follow-up calls, and other calls as directed by sales management and external wholesalers
  • Maintain and improve CRM by regularly cleaning/enhancing RR/IAR contact info, uploading new prospecting contacts & assisting with sales team activity tracking and lead reports
  • Participate in best practices/training seminars with sales desk director to develop and strengthen product knowledge, learn effective scheduling practices, optimize CRM utilization and various techniques for working in unison with RVPs in helping develop/improve relationships with top prospect financial representatives
  • Geo-mapping – assist in updates, maintenance and tech support for sales team
  • Compile competitor research reports & data
  • Serve as the first point of contact for financial representatives in assigned territories
  • Assist with fund administrator and outside investment managers to rectify “not in good order” issues with investments in assigned territories
  • Assist in the planning and execution of sales events, in-person and virtual - i.e., due diligence seminars
  • Perform other routine and ad-hoc administrative investor relations and sales support tasks as required

REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 or 66 financial licensing
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study preferred
  • Previous business experience in a real estate or sales environment
  • Excellent communication and technology skills (MS Office, verbal, written and presentation)
  • Aggressive self-starter with a passion for sales and the demonstrated ability to present ideas, gain acceptance and build strong relationships
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation with the ability to work comfortably within all levels of the organization
