JOB TITLE: General Labor- Meat Processing Facility
COMPENSATION: Competitive Pay! $15-$23/hr. This position is eligible for an annual bonus, actual compensation will vary based on skills and experience.

PURPOSE:
406 Processing & Taxidermy is looking to immediately fill a full-time general labor positions in a meat Processing facility in Great Falls, MT. The General Labor Production role is responsible for safely and efficiently performing   various duties within the production plant floor to ensure daily operational business needs are met.

KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•    Sterilizing the facility at the beginning and end of the production day
•    Cuts, and trims meat products using a knife and other machinery.
•    Operate various production equipment in the processing of meat products which includes Receiving, processing, cutting, trimming, scraping, grinding, packaging, tying, wrapping, weighing, labeling meat products more than 50% of the time on average.
•    Ability to work in Hot areas where the temperature could range between 60°F to 80°F and cold areas where the temperature could range between 32°F to 42°F.
•    Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
•    Routinely perform a variety of tasks that require manual product handling and the use of hand tools, knives, machinery, and other equipment.
•    A variety of arm and hand movements are required in applying force and repetition; grasping, pinching, pulling, lifting, extending, and flexing the hands and arms to perform tasks.
•    Continuously stand and walk for the duration of the shift (normally 7-12-hour shifts), sometimes on wet, slippery surfaces.
•    Lift, carry lower, push, and pull heavy objects or loads that can weigh up to 50 lbs.
•    Reach overhead, bend, and twist, climb ladders, steps, stairwells, and walkways.
•    Fill in as needed in other departments or shifts.
•    Performs other related duties as assigned by supervision.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES:
•    Must be 18 years of age or older.
•    High school diploma or general education degree (GED), no prior experience necessary; previous meat processing experience is preferred.
•    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
•    Ability to count and perform basic math.
•    Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
•    Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
•    Must be able to work overtime as required during hunting season (October and November).
•    Normal business hours are 9am-5pm Monday thru Friday.
 

Required qualifications:

• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• 18 years or older

Preferred qualifications:

• At least high school diploma or equivalent or higher
• Math skills: calculating sales totals
• Able to stand for duration of shift
