Job Description:

The Job/What You'll Do:

Searching for a position that will recognize your ability to evaluate financial information, plan and accurately produce data that benefits the entire organization? Then AssetMark'sFP&A Manager opening is just the spot for you! Your finance and accounting knowledge, communication and leadership skills, and focus on process efficiency combined with your outstanding Excel knowledge will have you quickly ramping up to speed on the preparation of monthly Financial Projection Models. This high visibility position is designedfor an individual that excels at proactively seeking out adjustments and anticipates additional reporting metrics while givingmeticulous attention to detail to the standard reports.

This is a full-time position in our Concord, CA office with a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute on analyzing monthly/quarterly results while also accurately predicting operating and capital expenses on a short- and long-term timeframe
  • Partner with executive leaders to develop function-specific operating expense scorecards and efficiency metrics
  • Lead the annual operating plan process and monthly re-forecasts with respect to expense management
  • Influence the accuracy and effectiveness of the accounting close process through analytical review and trend analysis
  • Partner with the Controllership team to review monthly entries and evaluate improved methodologies to ensure accruals are as accurate as possible
  • Analyze root causes of variances, propose recommendations on areas of improvement, develop frameworks to help prioritize initiatives, and support implementation of automation improvements
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial decks to report on key financial metrics and business trends to the Company's Board of Directors
  • Partner with cross-functional teams across AssetMark and develop strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the company
  • Other projects and duties as assigned (includes ad-hoc reporting and analysis, assistance with budgets, and mid-term planning)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong project management skills with a focus on organization, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task
  • Solid business acumen and ability to review complex business issues and develop recommendations
  • Proven track record of increased responsibilities and delivering actionable analysis with minimal supervision
  • Ability to navigate through various levels of detail, demonstrating flexibility to dive into details as well as think big picture
  • Ability and aspiration to grow, learn, and develop communication and interpersonal skills to gain trust and influence across the organization
  • Detail-oriented, process-oriented

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance with 5+ years of FP&A experience
  • Experience with ERP and corporate financial planning tools (Adaptive Planning and NetSuite preferred).
  • Experience managing staff
  • Experience with capitalization of internally developed software preferred
  • SOX 404b compliance experience preferred
  • Financial services industry experience preferred

Compensation: The Base Salary range for this position is between $130,000-$150,000.

This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits.
