Description

This is a paid full time Summer internship with applicants having the opportunity to be placed in one of the following corporate departments.

* RailRoad Operations Support (must be willing to travel to field locations)

* Finance & Accounting

* Social Media

* Information Technology

* Engineering

* Human Resources/Legal

* Safety

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* The intern will gain a basic understanding of the railroad industry, including industry structure.

* The intern will be assigned department specific project

* The intern will have an opportunity to present a short end of summer presentation to Sr. Management on their experience and what they learned.

* The intern will gain an understanding of Patriot Rail's processes, procedures, and systems.

* Other duties as assigned

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

* Effective oral and written communication skills

* Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint

* All majors may apply with preference to Transportation/Logistics, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, Civil/Mechanical Engineering.

* Must possess flexibility with work assignments and be able to multi-task.

* Must be detail-oriented, accurate, and organized.

* Must have valid driver's license.

* 18 years of age or older
