Your Team, Your Impact

The Optics team builds highly integrated optical platforms with high-speed silicon photonics, transmit and receive amplifiers, and controller ASICs with Marvell DSPs. These components are made operational with highly functional embedded firmware. The team is responsible for designing, verifying, and validating firmware to drive the integrated high-speed optical system. An engineer in this team will be involved in the full software engineering lifecycle of the product.

What You Can Expect

  • Design and implement product features and unit tests

  • Design and implement device drivers for components using SPI, I2C, MDIO, UART

  • Fix bugs and troubleshoot issues from internal/external customers

  • Document development procedures and user guides

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields and 3-5 years of related professional experience. Master's degree and/or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields with 2-3 years of experience.

  • Strong programming skills using C and Python

  • Experience with memory-constrained embedded development.

  • Experience with various microprocessor architectures (ARM or RISC-V)

  • Experience in software test methodologies.

  • Familiar with hardware design schematics

  • Familiar with git, Jenkins, Jira, gcc, make are a plus

  • Experience with optical transceivers and components a plus

  • Fast learner and must be a self-starter.

  • Have excellent communication and written skills.

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

104,000 - 153,850, $ per annum

The successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
