You would be responsible for supporting Banneker's day-to-day operations by managing orders to the warehouse and managing a majority of the interactions between the warehouse, other departments and the end-customers. Under general supervision, this position is responsible for allocating orders, releasing work to warehouse floor, balancing workflow, and ensuring inbound and outbound truck turn times are within acceptable levels. You may also maintain dispatcher duties, working with the Shipping & Receiving Department to coordinate scheduled and non-scheduled deliveries and pick-ups for a small fleet of company trucks.

Essential duties & responsibilities related to this position function include, but are not limited, to the following:
  • Coordinate and manage e-commerce order processing and fulfillment within our warehouse facilities.
  • Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to monitor inventory levels, track shipments, and ensure accurate order processing.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to address inquiries, provide order updates, and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Collaborate closely with carriers to arrange shipments, track deliveries, and ensure timely transportation of goods.
  • Act as a bridge between our warehouse team and carriers, facilitating effective communication and problem-solving.
  • Monitor and optimize logistics processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to shipments, inventory, and customer interactions.
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement in logistics procedures and implement solutions to enhance operations.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in logistics coordination, customer service, and warehouse operations.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and e-commerce platforms.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with customers, warehouse staff, and carriers effectively.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills to address logistics challenges.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) for record-keeping and reporting.
  • Adept at building and maintaining relationships with customers, carriers, and internal teams.
  • Strong organizational skills to ensure smooth coordination of logistics processes.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.

If you meet these qualifications and are ready to contribute to our dynamic logistics team, please submit your resume. We look forward to reviewing your application and potentially welcoming you to our organization.
