Description

Who we are looking for...

The Loss Mitigation Operations Supervisor will oversee a group of team members responsible for the acknowledgment and underwriting of customer requests for assistance and with the closing and processing of any approved workouts. This position will ensure adherence to all investor and regulatory requirements with an emphasis on quality and customer experience.

What you'll need to be successful...

  • Reinforce confidence in Cornerstone Servicing's ability to provide best-in-class care in mortgage loan servicing by delivering quick and accurate decisions on requests for assistance from its customers.
  • Manage a group of operations team members.
  • Proper adherence to all regulatory compliance requirements including, but not limited to, timely package acknowledgment and underwriting decisions.
  • Correct reporting of all approvals and completed workouts through the appropriate investor resources.
  • Management of closing documents and workout processing within Cornerstone Servicing's image repository and system of record.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and quality of work to provide feedback on process enhancements and employee development.
  • Continuously improve knowledge base and skillset to ensure maximum level of customer satisfaction and world class customer experience.
  • Perform other job-duty related issues as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mortgage servicing
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in loss mitigation operations.
  • Must have 2 or more years supervisory experience with leadership abilities.
  • Previous Experience with Black Knight (ICE) MSP and LMS.
  • Previous Experience with SMDU (FNMA), Resolve (FHLMC), VALERI (VA), and USDALinc (USDA) investor systems.
  • Experience with various investor loss mitigation waterfalls (GSE, GNMA, and Private investor products).
  • Understanding of basic documentation, evaluation, and calculation requirements related to underwriting (Hardship, Income, Credit, Title, Valuations, etc.).
  • The generation, signing, and processing of loss mitigation partial claims, modifications, and deeds-in-lieu.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and monitor processes, identify areas of opportunity, and facilitate improvements or enhancements.
  • Advanced understanding of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional organization and time management a must.
  • Comfortable being a team player.
  • Strong interpersonal skills in addition to verbal/written communication.
