Job Description
We are currently looking for operators for 2nd and 3rd shift
2nd shift: 3pm - 11:30pm
3rd shift: 11pm - 7:30am
Alternating weekly schedule M-F, T-S
Job Purpose:
The Molding Operator operates the molding machine to produce plastic injection molded parts, trim parts as needed and package parts at the machine.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Perform all assigned duties and job tasks as required in order to produce quality parts
2. May be required to run more than one machine if operations call for less than 1 full operator
3. May be required to give breaks to other operators when running semi- or fully-automatic machines
4. Read and understand work instructions
5. Maintain quality set forth by the job and advise Quality Supervisor or Shift Supervisor if parts do not appear as they are on the job instructions.
6. Identify, count, and report rejected parts
7. Trim parts according to job specifications.
8. Package parts according to job instructions.
9. Properly label parts packaging.
10. Maintain production efficiency rates as set forth by the job.
11. Use required tools for the job in appropriate and safe manner.
12. Safely use grinders
13. Communicate any material needs with material handlers
14. Clean and organize work areas and other shop locations as needed or assigned.
Educational Requirements and Years of Experience:
1. High School diploma, GED, or 12 years formal education preferred, but not required.
2. Ability to understand English to the extent of being able to follow instructions and be trained. (This requirement will be waived where translation is consistently available).
Physical Requirements:
1. Ability to lift 35 pounds
2. Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours.
General Requirements:
1. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
2. Follow rules and principals of OSHA; participate in OSHA compliance and training as required, needed or assigned.
3. Perform all job requirements and interdepartmental functions in accordance with ISO procedures; assist in ISO procedural changes and training as required, needed or assigned.
