$21.05 to $23.16 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Central Area/South Central Maintenance Facility. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and includes overtime, standby, and holidays as needed. Performs skilled crafts and trades work in the installation, alteration, maintenance and repair of electrical systems, equipment, fixtures, and structures for Brevard County wastewater and freshwater plants and lift stations in an assigned area. Work involves repairing and restoring service to lift stations and water and wastewater plants, electrical equipment, transformers, feeders, and automatic controls; performing electrical preventative maintenance and inspections on lift stations and plants; and testing emergency equipment.

REQUIREMENTS: Three (3) years of experience in industrial electrical systems. Successful completion of coursework in electrical technology at an accredited vocational-technical school or community college may be substituted for the required experience on a year for year basis [30 semester (45 quarter) hours = one (1) year of experience]. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida Driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
