We are seeking qualified applicants to join our team at Springfield Headquarters for the position of Member Energy Services Specialist within the Member Services and Corporate Communications Division. This position will provide consultation and partnership with multiple key stakeholders throughout the three-tiered system related to energy efficiency, demand response, electric vehicle/charging, distributed energy resource programs and emerging technologies.

What to expect in this role:

  • Responsibility for program research, development, implementation, reporting, training, marketing, and other strategic support.
  • Regular interactions with employees across the three-tiered system, statewide organizations, industry experts, and vendors.
  • In partnership with legal, conducting reviews and archiving all interconnection agreements/contracts and maintaining the net metering/PURPA database.
  • Actively leading and/or participating in industry committees.
  • Travel requirements vary; but can peak up to 50% of the time.

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum of three years of experience in the utility energy industry, including multi-tasking, relationship building, project management, and accuracy with detailed work.
  • Certified Energy Manager preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Competency with energy efficiency and distributed generation/distributed energy resource technology concepts, principles, and practices, including residential, commercial, and industrial technologies.
  • Experience effectively working with others to collaborate, problem-solve, advise, negotiate, and confront difficult issues using sound judgment and discretion.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
