Senior Windows Systems Engineer

Job Summary

Enterprise Information Services is responsible for Aerospace's classified and unclassified enterprise IT environment.As Windows Systems Engineer, you will oversee the corporate enterprise server infrastructure that supports some of the company's most critical business services. You will join a company that develops cutting edge solutions for our nation's most complex space enterprise and mission assurance challenges.You will work with both business as well as technical leaders to develop requirements and the implementation of new infrastructure services.You will become part of theComputational ServicesDepartment, which is responsible for the development and sustainment of server and storage infrastructure for the Aerospace Corporation.

Work Model

This position will be located 100% onsite in Chantilly, VA.

What You'll Be Doing

• Deploy, sustain and tuneenterprise Microsoft Windows servers

• Develop, implement and maintain best practices for critical enterprise infrastructure systems

• Coordinate and guide the onboarding and consumption of infrastructure services

• Liaisonwithcustomers in pursuit of continuous service improvement

• Overseeoverall health, performance and capacity of critical enterprise infrastructure services

• Overseeroll-out and deployment of new product features to facilitate our rapid iteration and continued growth

• Implement automation processes to improve service operability and reduce Mean Time to Repair

• Harden, scan and remediate infrastructure to ensure compliance with NIST security best practices including the application of DISA STIGs where appropriate

What You Need to be Successful

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Technology with four years of experienceor eight years of professional experience

• Extensive knowledge of MS Windowsinfrastructure and high availabilitycluster server to include maintenance, security, availability, disaster recovery, performance analysis,capacity planning and tuning

• Experience with MS SCCM, SCOM or MECM

• Extensive knowledge of server virtualization with VMWare

• Proficient with automation of routine server provisioning and maintenance operations

• This position requiresa TS/SCI securityclearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

How You Can Stand Out

It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:

• Experience provisioning and administration with PowerShell

• Experience with automation and orchestration using tools such as SCCM, Jenkins or Ansible

• Experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet, PowerShell DSC or SCCM

• Experience with Cisco UCS domains including Fabric Interconnects

• Experience leading teams and mentoring other team members
